Changing How Users Login to SMART Centre

17th April 2023

Xerox is replacing the current S3 Single Sign-On system with Microsoft Azure AD Single Sign-On.  This will provide the same login experience you get when you login to O365 applications (like Outlook, SharePoint).

SMART Centre authentication will change to Microsoft Azure AD Single Sign-On on 24th April 2023

What is changing for you?

After the change, to log in to SMART Centre with Microsoft Azure AD authentication, you will simply need to use your Xerox email address as your username and your existing S3 password to access SMART Centre. A few things to keep in mind:

  • If you are within the Xerox network, then you only need to log in using your email address and S3 password. MFA is not required.
  • If you are accessing the application from outside the Xerox network, you will need to log in using your email address and S3 password and then you will be prompted for verification per your preferred Microsoft MFA option: phone call to your personal or office phone, text message, or Microsoft Authenticator app.
  • If you are already logged in to a Microsoft Azure AD protected application, such as Office 365, in your web browser, you will not need to enter your login credentials again to access SMART Centre.

If you are not a Xerox employee and/or you do not have a Xerox email address, you need to enter your S3ID@xerox.com in the email field (e.g. 12345678@xerox.com). The S3ID is your Xerox personnel number.
